Privacy Policy for the Pitch Diagram Android App

This privacy policy explains what the Pitch Diagram Android app does with your information.

1. Microphone and audio

The app needs microphone access to show your pitch. Audio is analyzed on your device, as you play or sing.

• Live audio is never sent off your device.
• When you record a take, it is saved on your device only.
• A take leaves your device only when you share it yourself, for example as a video, a MIDI file or a .pitchdiagram file, through the app you choose.
• You can turn off microphone access at any time in your Android settings.

2. Analytics

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how it is used, for example how often it's opened and for how long. Google collects, on our behalf:

• an app instance ID and your device's advertising ID
• device model, Android version, app version, language and approximate country
• usage events, such as the first launch, sessions, screens viewed and subscription purchases

We don't collect your name, email address or audio, and we don't use the data for advertising. Google processes it under the Firebase privacy terms. To limit it, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.

3. Purchases

Subscriptions are bought and managed through Google Play. Google handles your payment details; we only learn whether your subscription is active.

4. Retention and deletion

• Takes and settings stay on your device until you delete them, or uninstall the app.
• Analytics data is kept by Google for at most 14 months and then deleted.
• To have your analytics data deleted sooner, email us with the request.

5. Security

Analytics data is sent to Google over an encrypted connection. Everything else stays on your device.

6. Children's privacy

The app is suitable for all ages. It doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Any change is reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top.
