A Click You Can Trust

Practice against a sample-accurate woodblock click, hear subdivisions, and watch a live waveform of what you play.

In the app

Here are some things that are even better in the app.

  • All time signatures and subdivisions

    2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, 12/8, plus eighths, triplets, and sixteenths.

  • Offline usage

    Works without a connection.

  • Better form factor

Improved portability, performance, and diagram quality.

What the click and the waveform give you

Most timing problems are not that you cannot hear the beat, but that you cannot hear yourself against it. Everything runs in your browser, and your audio never leaves your device.

The click won't drift when the page gets busy

Beats are scheduled ahead on the audio clock rather than by a page timer, so scrolling or switching tabs cannot nudge the tempo.

Something other than a beep

The click is a sampled woodblock, with a stronger downbeat and a quieter subdivision tick so the pulse stays easy to lock onto.

Watch yourself against the click

Switch on the mic and your playing scrolls as a waveform. The click’s spike in that trace is the beat.

10 Tools for Musicians

The mobile app groups them the same way: analyze what you play, make sound, then train your ear.
